(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of storm No. 5, heavy rain in the communes of Na Ngoi, Bac Ly and My Ly, Ky Son district (Nghe An) caused trees to fall, landslides and rocks to cause traffic jams on some roads; isolating some villages bordering Vietnam - Laos.

According to preliminary statistics, in Na Ngoi commune, floods washed away the only temporary bridge to Huoi Thum village, completely isolating the village from the outside.

Some inter-village routes have been closed.landslidecausing traffic jams

In My Ly commune, the flood caused landslides and cut off the road from Xop Duong village to Cha Nga village, making it impossible for motorbikes to travel. The only way to get there is by boat across the river.

The floods also damaged 24 small hydroelectric generators of local people, worth more than 40 million VND.

Currently, Na Ngoi and My Ly Border Guard Stations (Nghe An Border Guard) have sent forces to coordinate with local authorities to urgently repair landslide-affected road sections to ensure traffic in the area.
