Before participating in the National U15 Finals held in Tay Ninh, U15 SLNA had an extremely impressive series of matches in the qualifying round. In a group with the U15 teams SHB Da Nang, Hue and Khanh Hoa, U15 SLNA had 6 wins in both home and away matches, topping Group B with 18 absolute points.

In total, U15 SLNA scored 21 goals, conceding only 1 goal. Of which, the mainstay midfielder who was promoted from the U13 SLNA team last year, Nguyen Van Bach, contributed 5 goals. At the same time, it is impossible not to mention the convincing performances of the players who were called up to the U15 Vietnam team later such as Dinh Xuan Tien, Ngo Quang Thuan, Duong Van Cuong, Phan Ba ​​Quyen and goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet.

Leading U15 SLNA is Coach Ngo Quang Truong, a person trusted by SLNA's leadership. He is considered a coach with a lot of experience and seniority in youth training and 2 years leading SLNA's first team in V.League. In the past, Coach Ngo Quang Truong has also achieved success with the U15 SLNA and U17 SLNA teams. In terms of qualifications, Coach Ngo Quang Truong is currently the person with the highest professional qualifications at SLNA, including a level A - AFC coaching certificate and a student in the Pro course organized by AFC with leading coaches in V.League.

After the U15 Vietnam team returned from the U15 Southeast Asian Championship, U15 SLNA entered the final round with careful preparation in terms of physical strength and tactics. Right in the first match, U15 SLNA affirmed its strength as a candidate for the championship with a "hat-trick" by player Ngo Quang Thuan and the remaining goal by Hoang Van Thong.

In the second match of the group stage, U15 SLNA continued to overshadow the defending champions U15 HAGL with a 4-2 victory without much effort. This time, Pham Tien Dung, Dinh Xuan Tien, Phan Ba ​​Quyen and Ngo Quang Thuan were the ones to shine. In particular, the goal with a strong personal mark by a "solo" from the home field, surpassing 6 opposing players to score made Nghe An fans excited.

Two big wins with impressive scoring efficiency helped U15 SLNA to quickly secure a ticket to the semi-finals. That was truly a challenge to other opponents at the National U15 Finals this year. Present in Tay Ninh, Coach Vu Hong Viet said that he was especially impressed with the performance of his students in the Vietnam U16 National Team as well as other players of U15 SLNA.

Returning with the Southeast Asian U15 Championship with U15 Vietnam, Coach Vu Hong Viet is closely following the National U15 Championship Finals with the goal of selecting personnel for U15 Vietnam to prepare for the 2018 Asian U16 qualifiers.
