Many flights to Con Dao had to change schedules due to military exercises.

According to Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO),The Con Dao District Military Command organized a drill near Con Dao Airport (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), directly affecting operations from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 29-30.

VASCO therefore has to adjust.The operation plan of 12 flights on the routes between Con Dao - Ho Chi Minh City, Con Dao - Can Tho and Can Tho - Phu Quoc on May 29-30. Many flights will fly earlier or later than before to avoid military exercises near the airport.
In addition, VASCO will not operate two flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Rach Gia on these days. Affected passengers will be transferred to May 31.
Con Dao Airport was built during the French colonial period. In 2003, the Southern Airports Corporation invested in upgrading the runway, apron, and terminal to accommodate ATR72, F70, and similar aircraft.
