Many Hanoi - Vinh flights suspended for 3 days waiting for spare parts
VASCO, the aviation service company, said it would temporarily suspend eight flights between Hanoi and Dong Hoi, Vinh, and Dien Bien from March 30 to April 1 due to technical reasons.

These are flights 0V8313/ 0V8312, 0V8202/ 0V8203, 0V8204/ 0V8205 and 0V8593/ 0V8592 on routes between Hanoi and Dong Hoi, Vinh, Dien Bien.
According to research, the reason VASCO (a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines) temporarily stopped operating the above flights was because some planes had technical problems and had to wait for spare parts from abroad to be brought to Vietnam to fix them.
Specifically, a VASCO representative said the plane had a broken oil pump. Because the device had to be ordered from abroad and would not arrive in Vietnam for 3 days, many flights had to be canceled.
VASCO is the only airline in Vietnam that operates a fleet of ATR 72 aircraft, so it is difficult to share spare parts with the Boeing and Airbus fleets that Vietnamese airlines are operating.
VASCO representative said that they have deployed service plans, cleared and compensated passengers according to regulations and supported ticket refunds on the Hanoi - Dien Bien route.
For affected passengers on flights between Hanoi and Dong Hoi and Vinh, VASCO will support the arrangement of transferring to Vietnam Airlines flights on March 31 and April 1.
VASCO expressed that this change was due to force majeure and hoped to receive passengers' understanding.
