Many clubs nominated Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan as VFF president

The VFF Congress for the 8th term is expected to take place in mid-March. In preparation for the congress, the VFF has recently sent a document requesting professional football clubs and member units under the VFF to introduce candidates for key positions in the 8th term of the VFF such as: president, vice president, executive committee members... The 8th VFF Congress will elect 1 president, 3 vice presidents and 17 executive committee members.

Many clubs said they had sent written responses to VFF and attached their nomination lists. Among the clubs that sent nomination lists, the candidate most recommended by clubs for the position of VFF President and Vice President of the 8th term is Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre, Mr. Tran Manh Hung - Chairman of Hai Phong Football Club said that at this time there is no candidate more worthy of being the Chairman of VFF than Mr. Tuan.

Mr. Hung said: “Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan has his limitations, but in the 7th term that is about to end, it can be said that in the role of permanent vice president, Mr. Tuan has steered the ship of Vietnamese football to many achievements. In the context of President Le Hung Dung being sick, Vice President Doan Nguyen Duc being busy with business, Mr. Tuan has been taking care of the operation of the VFF apparatus, foreign affairs, and finding sponsorship very well. I hope that the upcoming 8th term will be an opportunity for young personnel to participate in the leadership of the VFF.”

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Director of FLC Thanh Hoa Club, said that this club also only nominated one person for the position of VFF President for the 8th term, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan. Mr. Hoai said: "I expect the 8th term staff to bring Vietnamese football to a new level, starting with professionalism in the V-League. Thanh Hoa Club nominated Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan because his contributions to Vietnamese football in the past time are very remarkable."

Representatives of Than Quang Ninh, Song Lam Nghe An, Binh Duong clubs... said they also nominated Mr. Tuan to run for the position of president or vice president of VFF's professional affairs for the 8th term.

In addition, VFF member clubs and units also introduced many candidates to run for the positions of vice president and member of the new VFF executive committee such as: Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh (president of SLNA Club), Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien (former vice president of VPF), Mr. Duong Vu Lam (member of VFF Executive Committee), Mr. Tran Anh Tu (president of VPF Board of Directors)...
