With the aim of connecting labor supply and demand, on April 27th, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, in coordination with local departments and agencies and WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An Joint Stock Company, organized a job fair. The event attracted 2,000 students and workers from the area, demonstrating the strong desire of many Nghe An workers to find employment in their hometown.

Wishing to return home and settle down near his wife and children, Mr. Nguyen Nam Son from Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc district, returned from South Korea. For months, he had been researching job opportunities in his hometown, but with his mechanical engineering training in South Korea, he hadn't yet found a suitable employer. This time, through the media, Mr. Son learned that the WHA Industrial Park would be recruiting for up to 12,000 new positions, including many businesses specializing in mechanical engineering. Mr. Son said: "I think with salaries ranging from 7 to 15 million VND publicly advertised by businesses at their booths, if workers don't have to pay for accommodation and meals at home, this is an ideal salary for workers in Nghi Loc district and surrounding areas."
After consulting therecruiting unitHere, Mr. Nguyen Nam Son said that he had applied for an interview with a company that needs 500 workers this time, with a salary of 12 million VND for skilled workers. "From my research, I know this is a large-scale production company, with orders imported to countries like South Korea and Japan… so the work will be steady, and workers won't have to worry about a lack of jobs," Mr. Son said.
Like Mr. Son, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi from Nghi My commune, Nghi Loc district, has worked in many places from the South to the North, but because of the long commutes, she hasn't saved much money. Ms. Hoi said that she recently received information about job openings at an industrial park near her home, so she decided to return to see if there are any suitable companies. "Having worked far from home for many years, and now that I'm getting older, I want to go home to be closer to my family," Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi added.
Besides migrant workers, students from vocational schools such as Vinh Industrial and Handicraft College, Vinh University of Technology and Education, Nghe An University, Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technical College, Viet Duc Vocational College, and College of Economics and Technology No. 1 also attended the job fair, hoping to learn about recruitment needs and the demand for new professions that are being prioritized by employers. Nguyen Tuan Anh, a student from Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technical College, said: "I am studying automotive technology and hope to work for a company near my home with a good salary. I see that companies are mainly recruiting unskilled laborers and not many automotive engineers, which makes me a little worried. I hope there will be more job opportunities for highly skilled automotive technology workers like us."
According to statistics from the Department of Labor and Employment of the Department of Internal Affairs, Nghe An currently has up to 700,000 workers employed outside the province and nearly 100,000 working abroad. Therefore, the task of helping workers "leave farming but not leave their homeland" is of particular concern to all departments, agencies, and localities.
The second job fair, held on April 27th, featured 15 businesses from the WHA Nghe An Industrial Park, offering up to 12,000 job openings, including both unskilled and skilled workers. These positions offered attractive and stable salaries with numerous benefits, a professional working environment, and many opportunities for advancement, focusing on industries such as electrical engineering, electronics, automotive components, machinery manufacturing, and garment manufacturing.
Organizing the Job Fair is a very important and practical measure, opening up many job opportunities for workers seeking employment in traditional and new-generation production sectors right in their hometown of Nghe An; it is an opportunity for workers who work far from home to directly understand the working environment in their hometown, thereby having more choices of suitable positions and jobs. The second Job Fair of 2025, held on April 27th, is a continuation of the success of the first Job Fair at VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park (in February 2025). It is part of a series of tasks and solutions implementing Directive No. 33-CT/TU and Project No. 40-DA/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in connecting labor supply and demand, solving employment problems, and attracting labor for domestic and FDI enterprises in Nghe An province, 2025-2030, aiming to build a healthy, progressive, and truly effective competitive labor market; and to build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations within enterprises.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, leader of WHA Group and WHA Industrial Zone Joint Stock Company: In the next three years, recruitment demand at WHA Industrial Zone will grow strongly in many manufacturing sectors. 12,000 workers will be needed in 2025; 15,000 in 2026; and an additional 15,000 in 2027. Specifically in 2025, with many large factories coming into operation, factories are currently needing 2,000 office workers and skilled workers, and especially nearly 10,000 unskilled workers. Job opportunities are wide open for those who are willing to learn, disciplined, and ambitious. Ms. Lien also stated that WHA is committed to continuing to work alongside schools, training centers, and local authorities to ensure that workers not only have jobs but also skills and a future at WHA Industrial Zone.
However, to ensure the effectiveness of connecting supply and demand, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long affirmed: The success of the first Job Fair in 2025, with over 42,000 job openings offered and more than 12,000 workers connected to jobs, is vivid evidence of the effectiveness of the tripartite coordination model between: Government - Businesses - Training institutions.
Therefore, to continue these successes, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long suggested that: It is necessary to improve the tripartite coordination mechanism in career guidance, student streaming, and linking training with the actual needs of the labor market; especially in key fields such as: electricity, electronics, mechanics, information technology, automation engineering, foreign languages, and soft skills. Furthermore, businesses need to develop adequate compensation policies, focusing on a civilized and safe working environment; recognizing employees as valuable assets, and providing appropriate compensation policies.
