Many agencies and units in Nghe An give Tet gifts to the poor

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 20, in many localities in the province, activities took place to celebrate Tet and give gifts to people in difficult circumstances.

*Provincial Youth Union, Youth Union,Nghe An Province Young Physicians Association and accompanying units coordinated to organize the program "Warm Western Tet" in 2024 in Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 60 gifts, worth 30 million VND to disadvantaged households in Chau Cuong commune; presented 10 bicycles, worth 13 million VND to 10 disadvantaged students.

Responding to the program to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in Nghe An province in the period of 2023-2025, in this program, the Organizing Committee supported the construction of a charity house, worth 50 million VND for Mr. Lo Van Di's family in Teo village.

Practically responding to the campaign "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers" launched by the Central Youth Union, the program's Organizing Committee also presented 4 maps and 200 national and Party flags; worth 7 million VND to Chau Cuong commune; presented 300 medical examination and treatment facilities worth 72 million VND to the people of Chau Cuong commune, in order to promote the pioneering and volunteering role of the young medical team in the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in poor communes; presented trash bins, probiotics, worth 50 million VND and presented 250 candy packages worth 5 million VND to students... The total value of the program "Warm Tet in the West" in poor commune Chau Cuong, Quy Hop district is nearly 230 million VND.

Within the framework of the program, delegates and local people together wrapped green Chung cakes at Chau Cuong Primary School; visited and encouraged the team of young doctors and nurses to examine, provide health consultation and dispense free medicine to people at the Commune Health Station; and started building a charity house for Mr. Lo Van Di's family in Teo village.

The program “Warm Tet in the West” aims to share, encourage and help families and children in remote areas overcome difficulties and have a warm Tet, while promoting the pioneering and volunteering role of the province’s youth in social security activities.

*Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Societyreceived 100 gifts, worth 100 million VND from the program "Spring of Love - Tet Sharing" of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation - JSC sent to households with especially difficult circumstances in the province.

At the program, Nghe An Provincial Red Cross and PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation - JSC presented 40 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 40 households who are poor policy families, households with disabled people, Agent Orange victims, and families with special difficulties in wards in Vinh city.

Next, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society will present 60 gifts to 60 poor and extremely disadvantaged households in Nga My commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province.

The 2024 "Charitable Tet" gift giving program has practical meaning, demonstrating the spirit of "Mutual love", the concern of all levels, sectors, businesses, and communities to take care of Tet for the poor and the less fortunate.

To date, the Provincial Red Cross Society has presented nearly 3,000 Tet gifts to localities in the province.

* People's Court of Nghe An provinceorganized the groundbreaking, inauguration and handover of gratitude houses to 4 households in Dong Van and Tien Ky communes, Tan Ky district.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Tran Ngoc Son - Chief Justice of Nghe An Provincial People's Court, Bui Thanh Bao - Secretary of Tan Ky District Party Committee, Tran Anh Sang - Chief Justice of Vinh City People's Court.

On this occasion, the People's Court of Nghe An province handed over 4 houses to the following families: Mr. Le Van Tuu, a Thai ethnic, in Tien Ky commune; Mrs. Ngo Thi Linh in Dong My hamlet, Dong Van commune; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Van in Tien Ky commune and Mr. Lang Van Tan in Dong Van commune. The above households are all poor, in extremely difficult circumstances, and do not have the conditions to build houses.

The Provincial People's Court supported each household with 70 million VND to build a new house; demonstrating the heart of the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants and employees of the unit to share with the poor.

In the coming time, Nghe An Provincial People's Court will continue to support the construction of 2 gratitude houses in Tan Ky district.

* Youth Department of Nghe An Provincial Policecoordinated with BIDV Bank Nghe An branch, Saigon Vinh Eye Hospital and Dien Chau District Police to organize the Tet program for the poor, for the homeland's sea and islands at Dien Van Primary School, Dien Chau District (Nghe An).

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee organized many activities to give Tet gifts to students of Dien Van Primary School, Dien Chau District; organize free eye examination and consultation for students and give free prescription glasses to students in difficult circumstances; examine eye diseases for the elderly in the area, for cases of cataracts detected, Saigon Eye Hospital will provide free consultation and surgery.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to students participating in the writing and drawing contest “I love my country” and the country map decoration contest in the classroom organized by the Provincial Police Youth Union in coordination with Dien Van Primary School. The total value of the charity activities was nearly 200 million VND.
