Many gamblers jumped off buildings to escape when police raided.

Seeing the police arrive, three gamblers in Ha Tinh jumped from a height of 4 meters on the second floor to the ground, but were injured and arrested.

At around 4:00 p.m. on August 20, based on a tip-off from local residents, police in Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh) raided the private home of Mr. Hoang Xuan Loc (residing in Ky Tan commune), catching nearly 20 people engrossed in gambling.

Seeing the police arrive, the group scrambled to escape. Three gamblers named Quang, Long and Truong, in a panic, jumped from the second floor of Mr. Loc's house to the ground. All were seriously injured and had to be taken to Ky Anh General Hospital for treatment.

At the scene, authorities seized a large amount of money, 5 decks of cards, 11 motorbikes, 16 mobile phones and some gambling tools. Nguyen Van Phuc (52 years old, residing in Ky Lam commune) and 17 others were arrested to investigate gambling behavior.

This is a large-scale gambling ring, operating sophisticatedly in Ky Anh. The case is under further investigation.
