(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of February 25, the Central Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with the Border Guard Command and the Military Youth Committee to organize the program "March Border" in Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district.

Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Kim Quy - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union;Major General Phung Quoc Tuan - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard, representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Nghe An Border Guard Command; Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Youth Union of Nghe An province;Tuong Duong district leaders and people of Tam Quang commune.

With the theme "My Fatherland's Border", this year's "March Border Month" program is designed with the spirit of“Vietnamese youth act for the Fatherland's borders”Within the framework of the Central-level launching ceremony, many meaningful gifts were presented by the program's Organizing Committee to the border guards, people and children of Tuong Duong district.

Specifically, 20 gifts were given to village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people; 30 gifts, 25 Vu A Dinh scholarships, 20 bicycles, and 500 warm clothes for ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances; and 300 national flags were given to households protecting the border.

In addition, the program's Organizing Committee also donated 3,000 breeding chickens, 1.5 tons of feed and farming tools to 30 ethnic minority youth households to build a household economic development model.

In particular, the "March Border Month" program also implemented many youth projects including: 01 "Lighting up the border" project in Yen Thang commune; 01 "Bridge of Happiness" project in Thach Giam town; 02 "Toilets for children" projects at Tam Dinh Primary School, Tam Dinh commune and Tam Quang 1 Primary School, Tam Quang commune; 02 computer rooms for students at Tuong Duong Ethnic Minority Secondary School (Tuong Duong) and Tri Le 1 Primary School, Tri Le commune (Que Phong); 01 playground project for children at Tung Huong Kindergarten, Tam Quang commune and 01 volleyball court in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district; 02 "Happy Houses" for orphaned students in difficult circumstances, namely Moong Van Hoang, Moong Khai Minh, Bao Nam commune (Ky Son district) and Vieng Van Thanh, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong district), worth 80 million VND/house.

The value of the gifts, projects, and tasks in the program is more than 1.3 billion VND. In addition, the program's Organizing Committee also sponsors 03 orphaned students with difficult circumstances until they are 18 years old (minimum 500,000 VND/month/child).
