(Baonghean.vn) - The 2023 Song Lam Nghe An Junior High School Football Tournament has had many innovations, creating great motivation for teams to invest more heavily in both human resources and expertise. Thereby, outstanding talents for Nghe An football will be discovered.
The 2023 Song Lam Nghe An Junior High School Gifted Classes Football Tournament has 23 participating teams, including athletes aged U8 to U9.
These 23 football teams are part of the system of 25 grassroots football classes of Song Lam Nghe An opened in 21 districts, cities and towns across the province.
The teams participating in the tournament will be divided into 2 groups. Each group will select 2 teams to compete in the semi-finals. Group 1 will include 11 teams: Vinh City 1, Vinh City 2, Yen Thanh 2, Tuong Duong, Thai Hoa 1, Thai Hoa 2, Do Luong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop 1, Quy Hop 2 and Tan Ky.
Group 2: 12 remaining teams.
After more than 2 days of exciting competition from December 2 to December 4, the organizing committee selected 4 excellent teams in cluster 1 including: Do Luong (First place in group A), Quy Hop 2 (First place in group B), Vinh City 1 (First place in group C), Tan Ky (Best Second Team) to compete for tickets to the semi-finals of the 2023 Song Lam Nghe An Junior High School Gifted Classes Football Tournament.
Final result, Do Luong won Tan Ky with score 3-1; TP. Vinh 1 won Quy Hop 2 with score 6-4.
Thus, U9 Do Luong and U9 Vinh City will represent Cluster 1 to compete in the semi-finals held in Dien Chau town.
After the matches in Cluster 1 have been completed, the competition in Cluster 2 will take place, scheduled to be held from December 9 to 11, 2023.
The 2023 Amateur Talent Football Tournament is organized to discover and select football talents to supplement the youth teams of Song Lam Nghe An. This is also an opportunity for Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center to look for players with outstanding qualities to participate in the 2024 National U9 Tournament.
According to the tournament regulations, the winning team in this tournament will be selected as the core, combined with a number of other typical players in the teams, to form the U9 Song Lam Nghe An team to participate in the 2024 National U9 Tournament. Notably, the coach leading the winning team in this tournament will be the head coach of U9 Song Lam Nghe An competing in the National U9 Tournament.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters about the quality and changes in this tournament, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Deputy Director of Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center said: "This year's tournament has received special attention from the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports and Song Lam Nghe An Club. The Organizing Committee has had many solutions to thoroughly overcome the problem of age fraud. In particular, we require all players to have a record confirming their year of birth at the Judicial Department from the district level and above. Therefore, after the end of the matches in Group 1, there are no more complaints related to age fraud between teams."
The final match of the 2023 Song Lam Nghe An Junior High School Gifted Classes Football Tournament will take place on December 11 in Dien Chau town.
