Many social security activities in the summer volunteer campaign in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 29, in response to the 2016 summer volunteer campaign, youth union members across the province participated in social security activities in the area.

Also participating in the activities, on the Central side, there were comrades Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee: Nguyen Long Hai, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and leaders of a number of agencies and units.

The delegation visited Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, a 5th grade student at Nghi Hop Primary School, Nghi Loc District. Nhu Y lost both her parents at a young age and is currently living with her 90-year-old grandmother. Her family's circumstances are very difficult.

Also on the morning of May 29, the delegation visited and gave gifts to patients with serious illnesses at Nghe An Oncology Hospital.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented gifts to the patients.

At Nghe An Oncology Hospital, the Youth Union members distributed free rice and porridge. These are meaningful activities, demonstrating the pioneering role of young people in volunteer activities for the community.
