On the Hoai River, a lively boat race took place between teams from Hoi An city and a team from Japan. A special feature of this race was that both the winners and losers received prizes. Everyone was immersed in the joy of the festival.

Mr. Truong Van Bay, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, said: "These meaningful activities are a testament to cultural exchange, built on a foundation of friendship and goodwill, contributing to deepening the cultural exchange and integration relationship between Japan and Vietnam."
The Hoi An-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival, organized by the People's Committee of Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, in collaboration with agencies such as the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Japan Foundation in Vietnam, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Office, Showa Women's University, and the cities of Sakai and Nara, Japan, will take place from August 23-25.
