(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of October 16th, the Women's Union of Hoang Mai Town organized the final round of the "Outstanding Women's Union Branch Leader" competition in 2014.

The competition included 10 contestants, selected from 134 women's branches and groups, representing nearly 16,000 members from 10 wards and communes in Hoang Mai town. This is one of the activities celebrating the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union.
Through this competition, we aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of officials in directing and implementing association work, and to share experiences in building a strong association organization.

The competition consisted of four parts: greetings, knowledge, skills, and talent. At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded 1 first prize to the Quynh Thien team, 2 second prizes to the Quynh Dy and Quynh Trang teams, and 3 third prizes to the Quynh Lap, Quynh Vinh, and Quynh Lien teams.

* To commemorate the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, on October 15th and 16th, the Women's Association of the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province organized the "Talented and Charming Border Guard Women" contest in 2014.

The competition was attended by female officers and members of the Border Guard Force of the province. Each contestant went through four rounds of competition: knowledge (including general knowledge and situational problem-solving), talent (singing, dancing, acting, poetry recitation, sports, painting, flower arranging, etc.), traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài), and evening wear.
This activity allows women to showcase their intelligence, talents, and graceful, elegant beauty. It's also an opportunity for networking, learning, exchanging experiences, and demonstrating their ability to handle various situations in their work and lives.
The competition also contributes to guiding a humane lifestyle, a sense of responsibility towards family, teammates, and the community, and promotes and encourages women to strive and cultivate the four moral qualities of Vietnamese women: "Self-confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and diligence."
The Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Ms. Dang Thi Minh Khue, a member of the Women's Association of the Political Department - Hanh Dich Border Guard Station; the Second Prize went to Ms. Pham Thi Nam, a member of the Women's Association of the Logistics and Technical Department, and Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, a member of the Women's Association of the Political Department - Hanh Dich Border Guard Station.

On the morning of October 16th, the Women's Union, in coordination with the Population Committee of Nghia Khanh commune, organized the 2014 Women's Union Branch - Population Collaborator Excellence Competition. Teams had to go through three parts of the competition: knowledge, presentation, and talent, covering topics such as continuing to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's moral example, building new rural areas, the tasks and work of the Women's Union, and population and family planning policies.

The activities of women's associations and committees in Anh Son district over the past period have contributed to socio-economic development and social welfare. The movements initiated by the associations and committees have been enthusiastically supported by members and female trade union members, bringing practical results.
To commemorate its 84th anniversary, the Anh Son District Women's Union honored 41 outstanding female union officials. With their remarkable achievements, the women's branches throughout the district affirmed the role of women in building prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families.

In the spirit of mutual support and solidarity, and in response to the program to help women and children in particularly difficult circumstances launched by the Women's Association of the Nghe An Provincial Police, the Records Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized its officers and staff to donate over 3,000,000 VND.
Following a fundraising campaign, a delegation from the Records and Operations Department visited and provided support to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Phuong (born in 1983) in Xuan Trung Hamlet, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City – a single mother raising two young children alone. Ms. Tran Thi Phuong is an employee of the Logistics and Technical Support Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police. Her husband unfortunately passed away prematurely due to a serious illness, leaving her to struggle alone to raise and educate her two young children. Despite her difficult family circumstances, she is a shining example of overcoming hardship and striving to excel in her assigned duties, earning the title of Advanced Worker from the Director of the Provincial Police for many consecutive years.

Over the years, the Anh Son District Women's Union has strived to build a strong organization, effectively implementing the emulation movement "Women actively studying, working creatively, and building happy families" and effectively carrying out the Union's key tasks.
On behalf of the district leadership, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee and Comrade Thai Doan Huu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee warmly praised the positive contributions of women in Anh Son district in the past; and presented a flower basket to congratulate the members of the District Women's Union. The district leaders hoped that in the coming time, the women of the district would continue to be "excellent in public affairs and capable in household matters." All levels and sectors should proactively build a team of female cadres, focusing on the appointment of female cadres and effectively implementing special policies for women. Women should continuously improve their skills and strive to successfully complete their assigned tasks. They should confidently rise up to assert themselves, striving to become women of the era, worthy of the eight golden words bestowed by President Ho Chi Minh: "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable."

The competition featured 10 outstanding branch leaders representing dozens of branch leaders working at the grassroots level in the communes and wards of the town. Through three rounds of competition – knowledge, skills, and talent – the contestants provided valuable insights into the Central Association's regulations. The competition served as a forum for cadres, emulation movements, and key tasks of the association's work.
Through the situational and talent competition, the contestants demonstrated flexibility in handling situations at the grassroots and branch levels, while also showcasing that women are capable and skillful mothers and wives in building grassroots organizations as well as in their own families.
