Many practical activities on the occasion of Workers' Month 2021 in Nghe An

INVOLVEMENT OF ALL LEVELS AND SECTORS

On February 24, 2012, the Central Party Secretariat issued Notice No. 77-TB/TW on organizing “Workers’ Month”, which clearly stated: “Agreeing in principle to take May every year as “Workers’ Month”. Organizing activities"Worker's Month"aims to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers; build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels, enhance the responsibility of authorities at all levels in paying attention to building the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country.

Trade Unions at all levels, based on the actual situation, guide the implementation of the annual "Workers' Month", with the motto of focusing on the grassroots, ensuring practicality, efficiency, economy, and suitability to the living and working conditions of workers, civil servants, and laborers; in which, focusing on propaganda activities of the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, resolving difficulties and concerns of workers, civil servants, and laborers, and effectively caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants, and laborers. Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations coordinate with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to effectively organize activities during the "Workers' Month".

Implementing the Party's policies,Nghe An Provincial Party Committeehas issued Directive Document No. 868-CV/TU dated March 29, 2012 for Party committees of districts and units to implement Workers' Month. In recent years, all levels, sectors and units have had many mechanisms and policies, organized many activities to help workers in the province solve difficulties and shortcomings in workers' lives such as visiting and giving gifts to poor workers, encouraging and rewarding excellent workers... organizing donations to support and build "Union shelters" for workers in difficult circumstances, organizing many cultural and artistic activities to encourage workers' spirit.

With the motto of focusing on workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor also pays special attention to emulation activities to promote initiatives, improve labor productivity, and increase income for workers and laborers; actively supervise the implementation of regulations on labor safety and hygiene of employers and laborers. Ensure that during the "Workers' Month", no laborer facing difficulties in the locality, industry, unit, or enterprise is left without the attention, encouragement, support, and assistance of the trade union and professional organizations.

To make Workers' Month meaningful and practical for union members and workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed grassroots unions to provide support, seek funding sources, and mobilize businesses, philanthropists, individuals, and groups to contribute materially to support workers in difficult circumstances and those with serious illnesses. At the same time, work with partners to sign union member welfare programs, increase the addition of incentive packages, and product discounts to help workers overcome difficulties.

Enterprises and trade unions determine that organizing Workers' Month appropriately and effectively will multiply its value, contributing to motivating, encouraging, and inspiring workers to contribute and be creative to meet the requirements of the new era.

MANY PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES TOWARDS WORKERS

2021 is the year of many important events such as the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 135th anniversary of International Labor Day, the 75th anniversary of the first International Labor Day solemnly held in Vietnam (May 1, 1946 - May 1, 2021), and also the year of the 10th Workers' Month.

This year's Workers' Month activities were carried out by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation with the theme "Solidarity, creativity, overcoming difficulties, aspiration, development". Directly directing and guiding specific activities at each union level, focusing on implementation at the grassroots level; focusing on implementing a number of key activities such as: Program“75 thousand initiatives, overcoming difficulties, developing”In the Labor Union, the program "Listen - Understand - Share" is a program that motivates union members and workers to boldly express their thoughts, aspirations and stories in life; at the same time, it promotes the responsibility of the union when listening, understanding and sharing with the Labor Union.

In addition, based on actual conditions, the grassroots trade union in the enterprise proposes to the employer to choose appropriate forms and activities to organize the program "Thank you to employees" for their commitment and support to the unit, especially in performing the task of both preventing and fighting the epidemic and maintaining and developing the economy, contributing to expressing respect and recognition of employees as valuable assets of the enterprise. At the same time, commend and honor union members and employees who have initiatives, overcome difficulties, and work together to develop the enterprise.

It can be said that taking care of union members and workers is a regular and continuous task of the trade union organization, not just a one-time event.Workers Monthevery year. However, Workers' Month is the climax to show the concern of the Party, the State, the Trade Union and the whole society for the workforce - the workforce that plays a key role in the development of the locality and the country. In the context of the life of a part of workers still having many difficulties, many factors can affect their working life, the workforce always expects and believes in the increasingly meaningful and practical Workers' Month.
