(Baonghean.vn) - On December 17th, many activities took place, including groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of houses for comrades, handover of houses of gratitude, and gift giving to the poor in various localities.

Mr. Bao's family is in difficult circumstances, with four young children and an old, severely damaged house that they cannot afford to repair. Therefore, in May 2018, the family received assistance from the Fatherland Front Committee of the district and Dien Hong commune to build a new house with an area of 80 square meters.2The total cost was 180 million VND. Of that amount, the District Fatherland Front Committee contributed 20 million VND.

On this occasion, the Dien Chau District Fatherland Front Committee also handed over a solidarity house to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Que, in Yen Dong hamlet, Dien Van commune. The house has an area of 80 square meters.2The construction cost was 300 million VND.

Eleven houses for comrades were built with a total of 660 million VND (60 million VND per house) from various units and businesses. In addition to financial support, the Nghe An Border Guard and local authorities will also provide labor to help the families complete their houses.
The "Comrade's House" program is also a practical project of the unit aimed at commemorating the 30th anniversary of the National Border Guard Day and the 60th anniversary of the Border Guard Force's traditional day, helping soldiers with difficult housing circumstances to stabilize their lives.

Here, five gifts worth 1 million VND each were given to five members in difficult circumstances.
Quynh Loc commune has 270 Catholic women members, participating in activities at Branches 3B and 5. Over the years, these women members in the Catholic community have united to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements, live virtuous lives, develop family economies, and build prosperous and happy families. This has contributed to the strengthening of the women's association movement.
