Implementing the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department and the plan of the Traffic Police Department (PC67, Ho Chi Minh City Police) on ensuring traffic order and safety, especially during the Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup 2016), it is predicted that the traffic order and safety situation will be complicated, especially on the nights when the Vietnamese football team competes. Late last night (November 23), right after the resounding victory, winning the first ticket to the semi-finals of the Vietnamese football team, the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Department conducted alcohol concentration tests for car drivers traveling on the Hanoi Highway (XLHN).
According to Dan Tri reporters, many drivers were caught by traffic police driving with blood alcohol levels many times higher than the legal limit. Many of them asked for sympathy because they were so happy with the victory of the Vietnamese football team that they drank too much with friends.
However, after being explained about the dangers of driving while drunk, which threatens the lives of themselves and many others, and with the determination of the traffic police to handle the situation, most drivers cooperated well, signed the violation report and took motorbike taxis, taxis, etc. to go home.
The Commander of the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team said that all violations will result in the vehicle being impounded for 7 days and the driver's license being revoked for 2 to 5 months; among the above violations, there was a driver whose alcohol concentration was many times higher than the permitted level and was fined 17 million VND, had his driver's license revoked for 5 months, and his vehicle being impounded for 7 days.

Previously, on the evening of November 18, to deal with the situation of young people gathering, driving and causing public disorder and racing illegally during the 2016 Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup), the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC67, Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with related units to simultaneously launch a plan to prevent and combat illegal racing.
According to PC67, the situation of young people gathering to race and cause public disorder is becoming more complicated, especially on nights when the Vietnamese team competes in the Southeast Asian Football Championship. If the Vietnamese team wins, it is predicted that there will be a situation of taking advantage of gathering to race illegally and causing public disorder.
With the motto "prevention is better than cure", PC67 established patrol control teams in coordination with forces such as: Department of Investigation of Crimes on Social Order (PC45), Department of Mobile Police (PK20), Department of Rapid Response Police (113), District Police and Youth Volunteers, to organize many plans to fight fiercely, handle the situation of teenagers gathering, driving to disturb public order and racing illegally during the Southeast Asian Football Championship./.
