Many factories and large projects in Nghe An will come into operation in 2019
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2019, it is expected that many large factories and projects in Nghe An will come into operation, contributing to promoting the growth rate of industrial production.
Nghe An industry is currently the largest contributor to the growth rate of total GRDP and is assessed to have room for growth.
Some areas expected to boost Nghe An's industrial growth in 2019 include increased production from three large factories investing in Do Luong, Nghi Loc and Thanh Chuong and several other garment factories.

Regarding the electricity industry, in 2018, 4 more hydropower projects with a total capacity of 144MW were put into operation, including: Chi Khe (41MW), Canan 2 (16MW) - quarter 3/2018, Nhan Hac A+B (59MW), Dong Van (28MW) - quarter 4/2018; bringing the total number of 16 projects in the province to date generating electricity with a total capacity of 855.5MW.
Currently, two hydropower projects have completed construction and are completing procedures for power generation, namely Ca Loi (2.4MW) and Xoong Con (14MW), expected to generate power in early 2019. Total electricity output in 2019 is expected to reach 3,500 million kWh.
Regarding the production of construction materials, chemicals, mechanics, electronics and information technology industries, it is expected that there will be 3 more brick and colored tile factories in Nghi Loc, Tuong Duong, VSIP Industrial Park...

From the above factors, according to Mr. Hoang Van Tam - Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial sector in 2019 is likely to complete the plan assigned by the province, expected to contribute 3.46% to the GRDP growth rate in 2019.
The industry will restructure towards developing projects using new, advanced technology that ensure environmental protection. Develop processing and manufacturing industries, industries serving agriculture, and supporting industries.
Speed up the progress and complete the technical infrastructure of VSIP, Hemaraj, Hoang Mai industrial parks, etc. to attract secondary investors. Complete the infrastructure of industrial parks and industrial clusters to serve the relocation of industrial production facilities mixed in residential areas, causing environmental pollution.
