Because, not only Quy Hop 2 High School but also many other schools in the province have operating costs depending on the state budget and do not have additional income. Therefore, if they want to give Tet bonuses, they do not know where to get the source. In fact, at Quy Hop 2 School, this year, although the school has tried its best, the Tet bonus for teachers is only about 200 - 300,000 VND/person, taken from extra teaching fees and the school's savings.

A Tet bonus of several hundred thousand dong is also the common bonus level of many schools in the province. For example, at Thanh Chuong 3 High School, this year each teacher received a bonus of 500,000 dong/person. At Cat Ngan High School (Do Luong), although the Tet bonus level has increased this year, each teacher only received about 400,000 dong/person.

The most difficult situation is in non-public high schools, because in recent years, due to the inability to recruit students, the school's operating budget has been almost non-existent. For example, at Le Doan Nha High School and Tran Dinh Phong High School (Yen Thanh), the school's Tet gifts and the school's union are only about 200,000 VND/person. The Tet bonus is higher in schools in cities and towns. For example, at Ha Huy Tap High School in Vinh City, the school leader said: This year, including the reward money and the Tet bonus, each teacher of the school received about 2,500,000 VND.

This year, some schools still give Tet bonuses in kind. At Quy Chau Ethnic Minority Secondary School, teacher Pham Manh Hung - Principal of the school said: Up to this point, the school has not yet decided on Tet bonuses for teachers, but the general spirit is to only give Tet gifts in kind, not money. It is expected that the school's union will support teachers with some Tet necessities such as fish sauce, MSG or cooking oil.

Students get higher "Tet bonus" than teachers

This is a special thing in Nghe An boarding schools this year, schools where the percentage of students who are ethnic minority children accounts for more than 95%. At Con Cuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, the school leader also said: This year, the Tet bonus for teachers is 100,000 VND higher than last year, with an average of 500,000 VND/person.

This is also the bonus for teachers at Ky Son Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. However, the special thing here is that not only teachers but also students receive Tet bonuses with bonuses ranging from 600,000 - 1,000,000 VND/student. Talking about this, teacher Bui Thi Hung - Principal of the school said: It is called Tet bonus but in fact this is the students' food money that the school has saved since the summer until now.

At Que Phong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, the Tet bonus for students is even higher than that of teachers. While teachers only receive about 600,000 VND/person, students in grade 6 receive 650,000 VND/student and students in grades 7,8,9 receive 1,900,000 VND/student. Teacher Hoang Van Hue - Principal of the school also confided: This Tet, we are very happy because we have taken care of the students to have a decent and complete Tet. This amount of money is actually the students' food and living expenses, but the school has saved it during the days they are off school...

It is known that since July this year, due to the salary increase, the meal allowance for ethnic minority students has also increased. However, in reality, schools have found that the previous expenditure is still enough for students to have a full meal, so schools have saved money to send back to their hometowns at the end of the year to celebrate Tet and have the conditions to support their families.
