Many universities announce admission scores
Many schools in Ho Chi Minh City such as the University of Technology, the University of Economics and Finance, Ton Duc Thang University, and Van Lang University announced the admission scores for 2018 based on the high school transcripts. In addition, these schools also recruit students based on the national high school exam.

Accordingly, the admission score ranges from 18 to 22 points depending on the major and the admission combination. For majors with combinations including the Drawing Aptitude test (Architecture, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design). The admission score will be announced after candidates supplement the Drawing Aptitude test score (in July 2018).

According to statistics, many majors have higher admission scores than the application scores. For example, the international relations major has an admission score of 22 in the D01 group (Math - Literature - English), the international law major has 21 points in the A00 group (Math - Physics - Chemistry). The hotel management majors - A01 group (Math - Physics - English), tourism and travel services management - A00 group (Math - Physics - Chemistry), e-commerce - D01 group (Math - Literature - English) have an admission score of 20.

Ton Duc Thang University, announced the preliminary admission scores based on high school academic results rounded to 2 decimal places (including regional and subject priority points).
The highest benchmark is 28 points for Pharmacy and International Business.
