On June 25, the General Department of Roads (Ministry of Transport) said that due to heavy rain, many roads in the provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, and Lai Chau were severely damaged, affecting traffic in the area.

Accordingly, preliminary statistics from the Ha Giang Department of Transport show that National Highway 4C has suffered landslides on the positive slope at many locations, with the volume of rock and soil burying the road being about 2,800m3; traffic jams at locations Km42+980 and Km44+410; Km69+290; Km93+600.

Currently, units are repairing the buried road points, and are expected to open to traffic by 6:30 p.m. on June 25. At the same time, at Km33+230, a 10m long, 6m deep negative slope collapsed.

In addition, some locations on National Highway 4C were flooded, such as at Km3+850 (90cm deep); Km6+300 (60cm deep); Km9+400 (1m deep); Km24+300 (1.2m deep), causing traffic jams and waiting for the water to recede.

On National Highway 34, the positive slope collapsed in many locations, with a volume of about 530m3; eroding the curb and road surface, but did not cause traffic jams.

On National Highway 279, positive slope collapsed at Km0+750 (60m3), not causing traffic jam.

In Lai Chau, according to a report from the Lai Chau Department of Transport, National Highway 4D collapsed on the positive slope from Km73-Km85, with a volume of about 10,000m3; causing traffic jams, the incident is being handled, and is expected to be open to traffic at 5:00 p.m. on June 25.

On National Highway 4H, Hua Bum Bridge Km303+460 has a 35m long broken bridgehead road; repairs are underway and it is expected to open to traffic on June 27.

On National Highway 12, the positive slope collapsed at 3 locations: Km56+350 (16,000 m3), causing traffic jams (not yet open to traffic); Km63+850 (4,000 m3) causing traffic jams (not yet open to traffic); Km67+00 (2,000 m3), causing traffic jams (not yet open to traffic).

On National Highway 279, at Km162+200, a 30m long road break has not been opened to traffic.

In Lai Chau, the provincial Department of Transport said that National Highway 279 collapsed at Km156+500, causing traffic congestion. It is expected to be open to traffic at 7:00 p.m. on June 25. At the same time, the curb and road surface at Km146+850 collapsed completely, stretching 45 meters.
