According to weather forecasts, due to the impact of cold air compressing and filling the low pressure trough, the Northern and North Central regions have experienced moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40 - 100 mm/24 hours, and some places over 120 mm/24 hours.
