Many new cars will be launched at Vietnam Motor Show 2016

Vietnam Motor Show 2016 taking place in early October will be the place where many completely new car lines such as Mazda CX-3, Ford Explorer or Chevrolet Camaro SS will be introduced.

On the morning of September 13, the press conference for the 12th Vietnam Motor Show 2016 took place in Hanoi. This exhibition will feature 12 auto brands and nearly 100 car models, including many new car models appearing for the first time in Vietnam.

American joint venture Chevrolet will bring the Chevrolet Camaro SS supercar with a 6.2L engine. The company also expands the SUV segment with the Chevrolet Trax line with a 1.4L turbo engine.

Another American car joint venture, Ford, will for the first time introduce the 2017 Explorer equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine. This is an SUV imported from the US and will be officially sold in Vietnam at the end of the year.

Honda Vietnam did not mention new car models at Vietnam Motor Show 2016, however, it is likely that the company will officially introduce the all-new Honda Civic C-class sedan.

Distributor Truong Hai came to Vietnam Motor Show 2016 with only 2 brands Kia and Mazda without the appearance of Peugeot. The two notable new car lines that Truong Hai brought were the small SUV Mazda CX-3 and Kia Optima (K5).

Toyota Vietnam - one of the largest car manufacturers in Vietnam did not reveal any new or flagship products. With Mercedes-Benz Vietnam leaving the game to participate in the imported car exhibition, Lexus was the only luxury brand to appear at the Vietnam Motor Show 2016.

Other brands participating in the exhibition include Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Fuso trucks, Hyundai and Kamaz. Vietnam Motor Show 2016 will take place from October 5 to 9 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center. The organizers expect to welcome 150,000 visitors.
