* From May 13th to May 20th, 2014, Nghe An Newspaper received the following letters, complaints, suggestions, and denunciations:

- Ms. Nguyen Thi Thin, a resident of Quyet Thanh hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district, reported: Her family is a poor household, her husband passed away early, and she is the sole breadwinner supporting her children and parents-in-law. On her family's land (for which the Dien Chau District People's Committee has issued a land use right certificate), she built a kiosk selling breakfast food. In August 2013, Dien Bich commune opened a new market, and the commune leaders announced the removal of all individual stalls and shops in the commune, confiscating them and relocating them to the market. She refused to go to the market because she believed her family's location near the road was convenient for business, did not affect public order or security, did not obstruct traffic, and did not violate the law. In September 2013, her family was threatened by commune police at her stall, their goods were confiscated, and commune officials stormed into her house, assaulted her, handcuffed her, and took her to the commune's People's Committee office. While taking her to the hospital, the family reported the incident to the Dien Chau District Police and were advised that a person's life was more important and the matter would be resolved later. The beating resulted in prolonged treatment and lasting injuries, yet to this day, the case remains unresolved, and the local authorities continue to ignore it.

- The people of Dai Loi block, Dong Vinh ward (Vinh City) have petitioned for the reclamation of the land plot belonging to Nghe An College of Economics and Technology, now Nghe An University of Economics and Technology, due to the school's misuse of the land and its failure to comply with planning regulations; the spraying of pesticides and growth stimulants affecting the health of the residents; and the fact that the people of Dai Loi block do not yet have land to build a community center.

- Mr. Quách Sỹ Dần, a resident of Hamlet 1, Hương Sơn Commune, Tân Kỳ District, complained to the commune authorities: the land designated for the reforestation project needs to be reclaimed because many households are not using it for its intended purpose; some families are allowed to exchange crops, but his family, who dug a water reservoir to grow pumpkins, was unfairly ordered to revert to its original state; the new rural development movement is not being implemented thoroughly, leading to indiscriminate work in some areas and not others, creating chaos and disorder.
