Boko Haram group burns village, kills 23 civilians in Cameroon.
According to Xinhua, a Cameroonian military source said on December 27 that suspected Boko Haram militants killed 23 civilians and burned down a village on the night of December 26 in the country's far north.

According to the source, the attack took place in Mozogo, near the border with Nigeria.
This move comes amid increased attacks by Boko Haram militants in northern Cameroon since 2013.
This group clashed with Cameroonian troops in Amchide, Makari, and Waza, three other areas in the far north of the country, on December 26-27.
The source confirmed that Cameroonian forces repelled simultaneous rebel attacks and that the situation is now stable.
