Chinese group uses fake ATM cards to steal money

On October 22, the People's Court of Quang Ninh province held the first instance trial of four Chinese people who used computer networks, telecommunications networks, and electronic devices to commit property appropriation.

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Quang Ninh province, on February 22, Zheng Ren Xian (Trinh Nhan Hien) was caught red-handed using a fake ATM card to withdraw money from a bank in Ha Long city. At the time of arrest, the police confiscated 29 fake ATMs, 323 yuan and 57,200,000 VND.
Expanding the investigation, Quang Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with Mong Cai International Border Guard Station to arrest Trinh Nhan Hien's three accomplices, Feng Yu He, Li Dan Yang, and Wang Tao, while they were preparing to illegally exit the country in area Z1, Ka Long ward, Mong Cai city to flee to China.
Based on the defendants' criminal acts, the People's Court sentenced Trinh Nhan Hien to 4 years and 6 months in prison, Phung Vu Hoa to 5 years and 6 months in prison, Vuong Dao to 4 years and 6 months in prison, and Li Dan Duong to 5 years in prison.
