Phan School Dance Group won first prize in the competition on Christmas Eve.
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate Christmas, on the night of December 24, Vinh City Dance Centers coordinated with event units to organize the final round of the dance competition "Showcase in the city" for students in the city and neighboring areas.
The competition is held to create a healthy playground for young people and is also an opportunity to select dance sport talents for tournaments in and outside the province.

After the preliminary round on December 17 with 36 entries from high schools, universities, colleges and vocational high schools in Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Thai Hoa town, Nghia Dan and Yen Thanh districts... The Organizing Committee selected 14 excellent entries to participate in the final round to compete for first, second and third prizes.
The competition night recognized young dancer talents of many ages, who had many months of practice with their entries, and many dance groups had previously competed in many arenas.

Thuy Linh, a member of the 1K team from Huynh Thuc Khang High School, said: “Dance sport is an indispensable spiritual food for me, so participating in the competition is not only an opportunity to exchange and learn, but also a playground for me to express myself through dance steps.”
“As soon as the competition was launched, we received hundreds of applications. However, because the scope and criteria of "showcase in the city" were to select outstanding dance groups from high schools, vocational colleges, colleges, and universities in the area to select talented dance groups with discipline and professional working style, we only selected 36 performances that met the above criteria" - Quoc Hung, a member of the Organizing Committee of the competition, said, adding that there were many dance groups and performances that surprised the Organizing Committee in terms of both their professional ability and the message that the young people wanted to convey.

After the competition ended, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the dance group HSTP – B from Phan Boi Chau School; the second prize to hip pop Au Thanh Dat - Le Viet Thuat High School.
