Group of young men 'high' on drugs, holding guns in hotel

On the morning of March 17, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team, Da Lat City Police, announced that they had just coordinated with Lam Dong Provincial Police to arrest 3 subjects for illegally using drugs.drugin the hotel room on Tran Khanh Du street.

The above subjects include Chau Thanh Duy, Vu Thanh Cong and Nguyen Duc Thang (aged 23-29); of these, 1 person tested positive for Covid-19.

Notably, in addition to 12 nylon packages containing white crystalline substance suspected to be drugs, during the search, the police also discovered that the group was hiding 2 pistols, suspected to be military guns, and 12 bullets.

Evidence including drugs, 2 guns, 12 bullets were seized at the scene inside a hotel in Da Lat City.

The group of young men confessed to buying ketamine and crystal meth to store, then rented a hotel room and shared them. As for the guns, one was a sports gun, the other was a toy gun, and the 12 bullets were reserved for sports guns.

According to the investigation agency, among the three young men above, Nguyen Duc Thang was involved in a drug ring in Don Duong district (Lam Dong). This guy then hid in Da Lat, frequently changing hotels to avoid detection.

Currently, all 3 are being detained along with the evidence, and the drugs and 2 guns are being appraised to expand the investigation and handling.
