(Baonghean.vn) - Receiving information that drugs were hidden in an incense burner, right in front of the cemetery gate, Dung drove Hieu to get the "goods". When Hieu picked up the drugs, he was caught red-handed by the police.

On December 5, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened the first instance trial of the defendants Ho Ngoc Hung (born in 1995), residing in Nghia Dong commune, Tan Ky district; Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1998), residing in Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city and Cao Tien Dung (born in 1996), residing in Doi Cung ward, Vinh city, all for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

Then, Hung asked Hieu to go get the drugs for him, and told Dung to contact Hieu to receive the "goods" he had ordered.

That same evening, while Hieu was cooking, he received a phone call from a man giving him directions on where the drugs were hidden, "on top of the incense burner, behind the cycad tree, in front of the gate of Vinh Tan Cemetery, Vinh City."

Dung drove Hieu on a motorbike to the cemetery to get the “goods”. In the dark, Hieu went first while Dung followed on a motorbike, shining his headlights to help his friend find the place where the drugs were hidden.

When Hieu was holding the drugs in his hand, the police came to check. Panicked, Hieu threw the drugs on the ground but was discovered by the task force. Based on the statements of the subjects, the investigation agency arrested Hung.

The investigation agency determined that in this case, Ho Ngoc Hung and Nguyen Van Hieu must bear criminal responsibility for the act of buying and selling more than 85 grams of drugs. Cao Tien Dung must bear criminal responsibility for the act of buying and selling more than 22 grams of drugs.

At the trial, the defendants admitted their crimes. The defendants said they sold drugs out of greed, even though Hieu and Dung had been convicted.imprisonmentfor drug trafficking. Dung had just been released from prison a few months ago.

After considering the role of each defendant in the case, the panel sentenced Ho Ngoc Hung and Nguyen Van Hieu to 15 years in prison each; and defendant Cao Tien Dung to 9 years in prison.
