For the past 4 days, a volunteer team from Hue city has been present at flash flood hotspots in Nghe An to provide free meals and help charge phones and light lamps with the hope that people will be able to ease their difficulties and losses.

After a night of heavy rain, on the morning of July 28, 11 members of the group "SOS 75 Hue Zero Dong Team" were present from early morning with full cooking utensils and served vermicelli, pho, and instant noodles with full vegetables, eggs, and meat.

Members divided the work, one group cooked and served breakfast to people, another group operated the generator so people could charge their phones and rechargeable lamps.

The volunteer group serves about 400 free bowls of noodles and pho to the people of My Ly every day. After many days of struggling with floods, the people of Xieng Tam village, My Ly commune, felt warmer when receiving hot bowls of noodles and vermicelli cooked by volunteers right on the roadside.

The dishes are simple but contain deep feelings and sharing, and also contain the familiar yet sophisticated culinary features of Hue.

Also at the location supporting free meals, people gathered in large numbers, bringing phones and rechargeable lamps to charge for free.

Hundreds of devices are charged every day, helping people stay in touch with loved ones, stay updated and have light in the dark.

Team leader Nguyen Ngoc Nhat Hoang (born in 1997), is the owner of an event organization company. Hoang said the group gathered colleagues, friends, and people who share the same passion for volunteering. The members have overcome a long, difficult, and dangerous journey to reach the flooded area in Western Nghe An for 4 days now.
