The Stars of the Night Won First Prize in the Photo Contest 'Nghe An Integration and Development'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 17, the Opening Ceremony of the Photo Exhibition and Award Ceremony of the 2016 Artistic News Photo Contest "Nghe An Integration and Development" took place at the Vinh City Cultural Center.

Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches, relevant units and individuals.

This activity aims to promote the creative movement in the province's photography community, prepare well for photo festivals and cultural activities, and promote the image of Nghe An country and people to domestic and international friends.

More than 300 entries by 34 authors with many topics, reflecting life with clear themes, great achievements and issues that society is interested in in aspects of industry, agriculture, seas and islands, tourism, etc.

Besides the authors with a lot of experience in creating artistic news photos, this contest also has young authors who are new to the profession with many new styles and angles, creating a fresh look for the contest.

104 works were selected for display at the exhibition, of which 11 excellent works were awarded First, Second, Third and Encouragement prizes. The works on display mainly reflect the achievements of the Party Committee and people of the province in the fields of economy, politics, culture, national security and defense.

First prize of the contest was awarded to author Canh Hung with the work "Night Stars".
