Purpose of building pyramids
Pyramids have existed for thousands of years. Until now, experts have put forward many hypotheses to explain why ancient people built pyramids.
There is a theory that the ancient people built the pyramids as a storehouse for gold, jewelry, seeds and valuables of the upper class. Others hypothesize that the pyramids were built by the ancient Egyptians to help people "contact" the sacred gods.
One theory is that the pyramids were built to store and preserve the bodies of Egyptian pharaohs and queens on their journey to the afterlife. Some even hypothesize that the purpose of building the pyramids was to provide Egyptians and Nubians with a safe haven during terrible sandstorms.
In the 19th century, Rev. EB Zincke put forward a strange hypothesis about the pyramids. He believed that the pyramids were actually built to provide jobs for unemployed workers...
The disappearance of the large sphere on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza
According to Spanish architect Miguel Pérez-Sánchez, the object placed on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza is a round sphere symbolizing the Eye of Horus, with a diameter of 2.7m, symmetrically placed with the Sun and Sirius - the brightest star in the sky. Based on modern equipment and technology, architect Miguel Pérez-Sánchez recreated the sphere on top of the pyramid in 3D drawings.
According to some documents, the large ball on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza was made of gold. However, some people believe that it is not real. Those who believe in the existence of the large ball speculate that it was stolen by thieves. NASA discovers pyramid-like mountain on dwarf planet of solar system
NASA's Dawn spacecraft discovered a pyramid-like mountain on the surface of a dwarf planet between Mars and Jupiter in June 2016.
Specifically, the Dawn spacecraft discovered the mountain on Ceres (a dwarf planet in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter) when it flew at an altitude of more than 4,300m above the asteroid. The strange pyramid-shaped mountain has an altitude of nearly 5km above the surface of Ceres.
