The permanent bridges beautify Quy Chau.

Over the past two years, Quy Chau district (Nghe An province) has received investment for the construction of six permanent reinforced concrete bridges, creating favorable conditions for the local socio-economic development.

cau dep 6 — Among the newly completed permanent concrete bridges put into use from 2023 to the present, the Chau Thang bridge is the largest. The bridge is a newly constructed, permanent structure made of reinforced concrete, with a total length of 179.3m, 5 spans, and a width of 7.0m. The approach roads are nearly 2km long, designed according to the technical standards of a Class V mountain road, with a roadbed width of 6.5m and an asphalt surface width of 3.5m. cau dep 3 — The Chau Binh Bridge is designed according to the technical standards of a Class IV mountainous road, and is a permanent structure built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete. The bridge is 115.40m long, and the approach roads at both ends are 623.73m long, including the bridge itself, designed to Class VI mountainous road standards. cau dep 1 — The Hat River Bridge consists of 4 spans, with a length of 148.5m and a width of 7m. The approach roads are designed as mountainous Class V roads, with a roadbed width of 6.5m and a road surface width of 3.5m. The total designed length of the approach roads is 1,766.0m, including the bridge length. The total investment for the bridge and approach roads is 40.88 billion VND. Construction of the bridge began in May 2021 and was completed and put into use in early February 2023. It is known that from 2023 to the present, Quy Chau district has also completed and put into use several permanent reinforced concrete bridges: Tong Son Bridge in Chau Hoi commune and Ta Chieng Bridge in Chau Hanh commune. However, due to the historic flood of 2023 causing landslides and damage, Quy Chau district is building a replacement bridge in Minh Chau village. The bridge, constructed as a permanent structure using reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, is over 43 meters long and 7 meters wide. It connects to the local road in Minh Chau village and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2024. In addition, Quy Chau district is currently constructing the Dong Minh bridge in Chau Hanh commune and the Khe Coc bridge in Tan Lac town. (Photo: Quang An)
