Hachiko dog waited for his owner for 10 years

Hachiko lived in Tokyo, Japan with the family of Professor Eisaburo Ueno. Every morning, Hachiko followed the professor to Shibuya station to see him off on the train to work. In the afternoon, Hachiko went to the platform to wait for Mr. Ueno to return. Those days continued regularly, becoming a familiar rhythm of life for Hachiko, until one day in May 1925, Mr. Ueno suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away right at school.

After Mr. Ueno passed away, Hachiko still came to the train station every day as before. This loyal dog waited for his owner for 9 years, 9 months and 15 days until his death. Hachiko became a famous symbol of loyalty in Japan and his statue was placed solemnly at Shibuya station.

The dog cried because he was worried about his owner.

At the scene of the fire in the central apartment building in Shanghai (China) on November 15, 2011, the image of a dog crying and waiting for its owner moved many people. A member of the Thanh An fire brigade said that the dog's name was Tinh Tinh. It had been waiting for its owner since the building started burning at noon until it was so tired that it lay on the side of the road, staring at the fire and refusing to eat for 40 hours. When it saw its owner coming, Tinh Tinh quickly stood up and wagged its tail to follow its owner.

Owner died, dog still keeps old habits

Two families came to adopt Negao, but both times he managed to sneak back to the hospital to wait for his owner. So the hospital contacted an animal charity to ensure the loyal dog would be well cared for until he was ready to leave.

A loyal dog named Fu Shi in Busan (South Korea) waited outside his owner's house for 3 years, hoping for her return, not knowing that his owner had been sent to a nursing home after losing her memory. Fu Shi's story touched the hearts of Koreans. In June 2017, the dog was adopted by a family and given a new name, Sky.

A dog with sad eyes waited for its owner in the rubble after a landslide in Xinmo village, Sichuan province, southwest China in late June 2017. A rescue worker tried to persuade the dog to leave, but the loyal animal insisted on staying. Hundreds of Chinese netizens expressed concern for the little dog. Some even expressed their interest in adopting it.
