Highlights of the final match between Vietnam and Thailand
With a 3-2 victory right at Rajamangala, the Vietnamese team convincingly won the Southeast Asian championship.
Vietnam team won Southeast Asian championship for the third time
Being a guest on the Thai field is never easy and the recent match at Rajamangala field is a proof. AlthoughVietnam teamtook an early lead through striker Pham Tuan Hai, but our team had to face difficult moments when striker Nguyen Xuan Son had to leave the field early due to injury and the home team scored two goals in a row to bring the match back to the starting line.
It is worth mentioning that the second goal of the Thai team did not demonstrate the spirit of Fair Play. This has strongly promoted the fighting spirit of the Vietnamese team players.

The red card for Weerathep Pomphan and the own goal of midfielder Pansa were probably the "price to pay" for that unfair play action. Then Nguyen Hai Long was the one who sealed the match with the goal that made the score 3-2 in the 90+20 minute.
With this victory, the Vietnamese team won the Southeast Asian championship for the third time after 2 times in 2008 and 2018. This is an almost absolute championship for our team when coach Kim Sang-sik's army had 7 wins and 1 draw. Obviously, the Vietnamese team convincingly won the championship this year.
Nguyen Xuan Son's class
Although he only played 4 matches in this year's tournament, Nguyen Xuan Son scored 7 goals and 2 assists, numbers that are enough to convince even the most demanding fans.
It can be said,Nguyen Xuan Soncontributed greatly to the championship of the Vietnam Team in this year's tournament. And the awards for Best Player and Top Scorer of the tournament are completely worthy rewards for this striker born in 1997.

Unfortunately, Nguyen Xuan Son suffered a serious injury in the final match. Hopefully, the striker of Nam Dinh Steel Blue will recover soon to continue contributing to the Vietnam National Team.
Coach Kim Sang-sik "cool hand"
In his first time leading a club, coach Kim Sang-sik led Jeonbuk Hyundai Club to the 2020-2021 K-League championship. A year later, this coach born in 1976 continued to win the Korean National Cup with Jeonbuk Hyundai. It can be said that coach Kim Sang-sik is very successful in his coaching career.

This "cool hand" continued to be demonstrated in the Southeast Asian championship of the Vietnam Team. Using a reasonable rotating lineup, combined with a scientific playing style and "godlike" substitutions,Coach Kim Sang-sikhelped our team compete more and more confidently and excellently to win the championship this year.
Hopefully, coach Kim Sang-sik will continue to help the Vietnamese team make progress to reach the continental level in the near future.
Pham Xuan Manh - the silent warrior
Although he was called up to the Vietnam National Team many times, it was not until this year's tournament that Pham Xuan Manh was given the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities. From center back to full back, in every position, the player from Yen Thanh has excellently completed the assigned tasks.

The ability to compete strongly in one-on-one matches along with his strong physical strength has helped Pham Xuan Manh not be afraid of any opponent. Besides, Pham Xuan Manh's good aerial ability is also an advantage that helps strengthen the defense of the Vietnam National Team.
It can be said that Pham Xuan Manh is a silent hero in the championship of the Vietnam Team at the ASEAN Cup 2024.
"Introduction" Hai Long, "conclusion" Hai Long
An interesting detail in the championship of the Vietnam Team is that player Hai Long was the one who scored the first and last goals of our Team in this year's tournament. And in this tournament, Nguyen Hai Long also only scored 2 goals.
Hai Long's opening goal against Laos was the start of Vietnam's journey to the Southeast Asian championship. This was also the first goal of this midfielder born in 2000 in the national team's jersey.

Meanwhile, the goal from the middle of the field by the midfielder of Hanoi Club reflected the true mood of the Thai people. It was a mood of helplessness when slowly witnessing the Vietnam Team winning the title right at the fiery pan of Rajamangala. And it was also the perfect ending forVietnam teamat this year's tournament./.
