Strange things in the country where you can only wear blue jeans

Don't wear blue jeans

Visitors are not allowed to take photos at will.

Foreign visitors to North Korea are not allowed to take photos at designated locations. Taking photos at military facilities is especially prohibited. Security personnel may ask you to delete the photos you have taken.

Can't buy condoms or tampons

Tourists will have a hard time buying condoms or tampons at stalls in North Korea. These items are only available on the black market and are not widely available.
