After the contest, she continuously participated in charity activities. At that time, beauty Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien shared: “I feel proud and honored with the title of Miss Charity. I am aware that I need to be more responsible to society and the community. I want to participate in more charity activities and inspire people to spread charity in life.”
In November 2020, beauty Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and many beauty queens and runners-up went to the flood-hit areas to give gifts to people in the Central provinces. Talking about the memorable trip, Thuy Tien confided: “During the recent Central relief mission, I visited a family and after just one flood, the parents lost two children. The image of the mother sitting absent-mindedly, looking lifeless or on the makeshift altar was a milk bottle for the baby, I felt extremely heartbroken.”
“Tien is truly grateful for the title of Miss Charity of the Miss Vietnam 2018 contest, which has given her the opportunity to carry out many charity projects. She has met and shared with many people who have unfortunate lives. Looking back, everything is like a slow-motion film, giving her many different emotions and every project makes her emotional,” Thuy Tien added.
On her 23rd birthday last August, instead of buying herself a birthday present, beauty Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien donated a ventilator to a hospital treating COVID-19 patients and 5 tons of rice to poor workers.
“On my birthday this year, I wish for everyone's safety, and for the pandemic to quickly pass so that everyone can return to normal life. I feel that at the present time, safety and health are the most important things, so I don't wish for anything more. Thank you to those who came, and those who left. Every meeting is a lesson and all of them have shaped the 23-year-old girl I am today,” Thuy Tien shared more.
