Yen Thanh has an area of 54,766 hectares, bordering Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Do Luong, Nghi Loc districts; is a rice-growing area, a fertile land, one of the largest rice granaries of Nghe An province. Gam Temple - Pagoda is located in the Gam Ru spiritual eco-tourism complex, this is one of the unique religious works. According to historical records, Gam Pagoda worships the gods who have contributed to protecting the country and the people: Cao Son, Cao Cac, Sat Hai Dai Vuong Hoang Ta Thon, Tam Toa Dai Vuong, Tu Vi Thanh Nuong.
