Known as a female student who gave flowers to President Trump, Pham Ngoc Ha My participated in the Miss Vietnam 2018 contest and entered the Top 15 finalists. After the contest, Ha My continued to make efforts and up to now, she has become a VTV editor - the one who breathes life into economic and financial news with the name Money Weekly.
Ha My confided that after the Miss Vietnam contest, she sometimes felt confused because she did not know what to do next and could not orient her career in the future. My herself did not like showbiz and wanted to do a clear, fixed job. However, receiving many invitations to participate in events made My hesitate. Up to now, after about 2 years of working with VTV, Ha My has had an answer for herself about the path she will pursue.
“Looking at the present, with the achievements that My has achieved in both image building and personal brand, in addition to having a good stepping stone, it takes a lot of effort. Giving flowers does not mean everything or success will come to you, but you have to always improve every day to have the position you have today. When giving flowers to President Trump, Ha My was just a female student and it was not possible for My to become a VTV editor in just one day, right? The path My has gone through is a journey of constant effort, with sweat, tears and determination” - Ha My said.

I don’t want my life to have too much free time. My day usually takes place with the following schedule: I spend time working at Vietnam Television, then I go to school and the rest of the time I practice sports, meet relatives and friends. There are times when I have time off from school or work, I sign up for talent classes such as practicing piano and dancing. In the future, I want to take a cooking class or baking, flower arrangement… Maybe people will see me as a bit of a perfectionist, but I want to be able to improve myself every day. I have time, youth and I don’t want to waste a single moment. Any title will fade away and only by constantly studying can I keep myself from falling behind”- Bao Chau said.
