Records will be set in the Barca-Real "El Clásico".

The "El Clásico" match between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou early tomorrow morning is not only decisive for the Liga race but also promises to break records. Iker Casillas and Xavi Hernandez are among those on the verge of achieving such records.

If Iker Cassila of Real Madrid plays at Nou Camp, he will become the player with the second most consecutive appearances in El Clásico, with 30 matches. This is entirely possible because at this point, it's difficult to stop him.

This also means Casillas has surpassed his former teammate Raul Gonzelez by one match. Currently, the legend with the most consecutive appearances in El Clásico is former Real Madrid legend Francisco Gento, with 35 matches.

Casillas' first "El Clásico" match in a series of 30 consecutive games took place on May 2, 2002 (the second leg of the Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Barcelona). In that match, Real drew 1-1 with Barca to advance to the final with a 3-1 aggregate victory.

To date, "Saint Iker" has played in a total of 33 El Clasico matches. The first Clasico of his career was when he was 18 years old.

Casillas is nearing the milestone of 20 consecutive El Clásico matches, while Xavi Hernandez of Barcelona is also aiming for his own record in the history of the Catalan club.

If he plays in the match against Real Madrid, the midfielder will set a record for participating in 35 El Clasico matches, meaning he will become the Barcelona player with the most appearances in El Clasico games. In his previous 34 appearances, the 32-year-old midfielder has scored 5 goals.

Ahead of this match, Xavi stated that a victory would be extremely important for Barcelona. He said: "It would be a very important win. Barca would overtake Real and create an 11-point gap."

Xavi also expressed his desire to score a hat-trick against Real Madrid, stating that it has always been his dream. "Something I haven't done yet? That's a hat-trick. I would be very happy to achieve this in the match against Real."

Currently, Barcelona still sits at the top of La Liga with 18 points after 6 consecutive wins, while Real Madrid is only in 8th place with 10 points. A loss in this match would effectively end Real Madrid's chances of defending their title, as the gap between the two teams would widen to 11 points. However, if Real wins, the La Liga race will become exciting again.

The "El Clásico" match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be broadcast live on Vietnam+ starting at 10 PM.
