Hai linh mục cực đoan Đặng Hữu Nam và Nguyễn Đình Thục đang khiến cộng đoàn chia rẽ.
Two extremist priests Dang Huu Nam and Nguyen Dinh Thuc are causing division in the community.

On the fourth Sunday of Easter, May 7, when attending Mass, every Catholic kept in mind the reading and shared God's words about the good shepherd.

In the mind of every Catholic, the image of Jesus, the good shepherd, leads his flock out of all chaos and evil through his sacrifice on the Cross.

However, today, right in our homeland Nghe An, two priests Nguyen Dinh Thuc and Dang Huu Nam, who call themselves shepherds, are turning their flock into a laughing stock; turning good sheep into bad people, into aggressive people; turning the peaceful life of Catholics in Song Ngoc, Phu Yen into turmoil and confusion.

The consequences do not stop there, but the unusual actions of these two priests also leave unfavorable views towards Catholicism in general.

As true Catholics, we truly oppose all actions that go against God's commandments that Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc and Dang Huu Nam are doing. The priests cannot use God's name to do things that go against God's people and spread national hatred.

Priests Nguyen Dinh Thuc and Dang Huu Nam are committing a serious sin against God's commandments when they "accuse others of their sins in front of strangers". For a long time, the priests have not shared God's words but have focused on speaking ill of and defaming others while they have done nothing good. At this time, the priests should repent and be forgiven. If you still have honor and self-respect, then stay awake and follow the advice of Saint Peter: "Save yourselves from this evil generation".

Fathers, do not misunderstand that the entire Catholic community listens and acts unconsciously according to your will. Communion in Catholicism is community, sharing, brotherhood, charity, sacrifice, tolerance and humility. Aggression, murderous intent is Satan, is the devil. Some of our brothers in Song Ngoc, in Phu Yen are following you because of theocracy, because of mob mentality, they are in a "dilemma", unable to go, unable to stay.

Fathers, look back, have they had a single moment of peace in the past few weeks? Is the way you feed your sheep acceptable? The shepherd is sent by God to tend the flock, in the midst of the flock, fathers, look back at your flock, can you say these words???. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, in green pastures he makes me lie down, near waters, resting places…”, the water and resting places that you are taking us to are just hell on earth. The Kingdom of God cannot exist on your tongues in that way of whining, that way of challenging, that way of selling your conscience and doing such vile, deceitful things.

On some social networking sites, we read posts from some people saying, “If Father Thuc and Father Nam are arrested, we are ready to shed blood.”

It's ridiculous, those people are just Viet Tan people disguised as democrats, but no Catholic is that stupid? "Death for religion"? No way? No Catholic in this country has been persecuted for their faith, so why die for religion? The highest legal document of the State has stipulated that following or not following a religion is everyone's right, no one is forced, the right to freely choose a true religion is guaranteed.

The consequences of the actions of priests Nguyen Dinh Thuc and Dang Huu Nam are not small at all. In addition to breaking the solidarity that God has called for and built for thousands of years, it also affects the lives and beliefs of the true Catholic community in general.

People's distorted view of Catholicism also originates from here. Catholics lack confidence when among the clergy there are people like these two priests.

Signs of alienation and confusion in the community have begun to show clearly. On May 5 and 6, when we participated in the Eucharistic Adoration Week at Quan Lang Parish with Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc. The parishioners there looked at us with questioning, unsympathetic eyes. Some curious people boldly shook our hands and asked, “Father, why is your hair so good these days?” Our priest replied, “You are busy.” Many people also wondered, how could you be so busy that you have time to take your flock to the streets so often?

To conclude the article, we would like to quote the original words of the priests in the Mass of the Fourth Week of Easter: “Today’s Word of God presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd: He knows each of us, He gives His life for us, and He leads us to true life. In this Mass, let us ask God to help us become His sheep, not stubborn sheep but sheep who know who their master is, know his voice and obediently follow his guidance, when the master walks in the light.gChrist and vice versa the sheep will not follow when their master deliberately goes into sin.
