Tips to avoid losing points on multiple-choice tests.
Candidates should review the exam content before the invigilator allows it, and not check the exam code on the pages; otherwise, they may lose points.
In addition to the general regulations that must be followed, when taking the multiple-choice test, candidates need to pay attention to a number of points in the 2019 National High School Examination regulations.
Students must complete the exam on the pre-printed multiple-choice answer sheet as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training; only the candidate's registration number, exam code, and answer boxes should be filled in with a black pencil. In case of incorrect marking or if the candidate wishes to change an answer, they must erase the pencil mark in the old box and then fill in the box of their choice.

Candidates must accurately and completely fill in the blank sections at the top of the multiple-choice answer sheet; for the registration number, they must write and shade all the numbers (including any leading zeros), and accurately fill in the exam code on both answer sheets.
When receiving the exam paper, students should note that the component subjects within each Natural Sciences or Social Sciences combined exam share the same exam code. If the exam codes are different, students must immediately inform the invigilator, no later than 10 minutes after receiving the paper. Candidates must place the exam paper under the multiple-choice answer sheet and are not allowed to view the contents until the invigilator gives permission.
Candidates must also check the exam paper to ensure that it contains the correct number of questions as indicated and that all pages of the exam paper have the same code. Exams must not be submitted before the end of the exam time. When the time is up, candidates must submit their multiple-choice answer sheets to the invigilator and sign both exam submission forms.
Finally, candidates are only allowed to leave the examination room after the invigilator has checked all the multiple-choice answer sheets in the room and given permission to leave. In case of any unusual circumstances, candidates must strictly follow the instructions of the invigilator.
This year, over 887,000 candidates nationwide are taking the National High School Graduation Examination for both graduation and university admission. The number of applicants for university and college teacher training programs is over 653,000. Of these, independent candidates account for 4.3%.
