The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS 2023) taking place this August will welcome 29 passenger car brands, 5 commercial vehicle brands and 45 globally renowned motorcycle brands. This auto show will also have more electric vehicles than ever. The presence of Chinese brands will be more dense, thereby bringing more choices to users in the region.
Among the car models brought by participating brands to the event, below are 5 notable names that are likely to come to Vietnam in the near future.
The Mitsubishi XFC concept debuted in Vietnam in October at the Vietnam Auto Show last year. At the end of July, the Japanese brand revealed the first images of this SUV with a design not much different from the above concept. There is information that this will be the successor to the Outlander Sport in the Southeast Asia region. The test version of the Stargazer X has not shown many differences between the SUV configuration and the original. There is a good chance that Mitsubishi - a brand that has confirmed its participation in GIIAS 2023 - will bring the Triton to public display in Indonesia, although it may not open for sale immediately. The vehicle's identity has not been specifically confirmed, but according to Indonesian media, all evidence points to the Veloz Hybrid. In Indonesia, it is possible that this version will be even cheaper than the regular Veloz thanks to the government's electric vehicle subsidies. However, compared to names like Mercedes-Benz EQS or electric vehicles from Chinese brands such as Neta, Ora or Wuling, the EX90 certainly has a higher level of novelty and reputation. The new SUV is longer than the XC90, has Thor's hammer-style LED headlights, the most powerful version has 510 horsepower, and a range of 600 km per charge. As is the brand's tradition, the EX90 is equipped with advanced safety systems. The SUV has a series of sensors, including an Iris LiDAR sensor on the roof, in addition to 5 radars, 8 external cameras, 2 internal cameras and 16 ultrasonic sensors. Photo: Volvo
