Rose ice cream, stewed jackfruit seeds or yogurt with pandan jelly are popular snacks, creating culinary trends that attract many gourmets in the first half of this year.
Rose cream
Following the “hot trends” from 2016 such as fish ice cream, self-serve ice cream, long ice cream cone... rose ice cream is also warmly welcomed. Although rose ice cream has just been introduced to Vietnam, it is “making waves” on social networking sites and many curious young people come to enjoy it.

Rose ice cream is recognized by customers as a work of art because of its sophistication. To complete an ice cream, each employee takes 3-5 minutes to fill the cone, then meticulously cut each thin slice of ice cream to form the shape of a flower petal. To make the flower beautiful and realistic, the scooper must be extremely skillful and careful, smoothing and bending the petals so that they do not break and arranging them in even, soft layers. Holding such an ice cream in hand, many people would not have the heart to eat it.
With a large amount of ice cream and the need for meticulous shaping, the price of this product is also higher than other types of ice cream, from 40,000 to 50,000 VND per ice cream. On weekends, the consumption of rose ice cream can reach more than 200 ice creams/day.
