Meaningful 'gifts' to welcome the Trade Union Congresses at all levels in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Welcoming the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, recently many meaningful projects and works have been deployed by trade unions at all levels at the grassroots level and brought many practical values.
Behind the works are the hearts, solidarity, unity and efforts of union members throughout the province.
Accelerate to the finish line on schedule
For the past 2 years, College of Economics and Technology No. 1 has been like a large construction site with 3 4-storey buildings at the same time with a total area of nearly 4,000m2.2are invested in construction. Of which, there are 2 items: dormitory for students with a scale of more than 600 students and a theoretical learning area and a practice workshop for the Fashion Sewing Faculty.

It is known that the project is one of 7 projects that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor decided to invest in construction using capital from the Education - Training and vocational education sector for the period 2021 - 2025, with a total capital of 26 billion VND. Immediately after being approved, the project was deployed for construction, and up to now has been basically completed and waiting for handover. The construction progress has also been shortened by more than half a year compared to the proposed schedule. The project, as planned this July, will be put up with a sign by the Provincial Labor Federation to welcome the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028.
Having been with the school for nearly 20 years, teacher Nguyen Canh Thinh - Principal of College of Economics and Technology No. 1 is the one who sees the value of this project most clearly. That is not only meaningful as a gift for the congress but these are the final projects contributing to the completion of the Project to build Vocational School No. 1 which was approved by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2004.

Our school currently enrolls nearly 500 students each year in both intermediate and college levels. Therefore, the need for workshops for teaching and dormitories for students is very large. However, currently, the old dormitory building can only accommodate more than 300 students and many students still have to rent outside. The workshop system to ensure teaching and learning has not yet met the requirements. However, after the projects are put into use, the above difficult problems will basically be solved and help the school have the conditions to improve the quality of teaching and learning, and students living far away will reduce part of the cost of renting a house.

At this time, the construction project of Hung Dong Traditional Medicine Hospital combined with TTH Group Office is also entering the completion stage. This is a project with a capital of nearly 400 billion VND chosen by the General Confederation of Labor to put up a welcome sign for the congress. In addition, the project is more practical when it helps patients have more addresses for medical examination and treatment with modern equipment, synchronous investment, scale of over 300 beds, including inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Through discussion, Mr. Tran Tien - Deputy Project Director of TTH Group Corporation said: In the past time, nearly 200 workers and engineers have worked day and night to complete the project and put it into use as scheduled.
Multiply meaningful and humane work
Trade Union CongressThe Health sector has just successfully organized with many outstanding results. The grassroots unions have had many practical activities to welcome and look forward to the congress, including 9 projects with signs and 11 meaningful tasks. Among these, in addition to the projects to serve and improve the spiritual life of union officials and members at the local units such as building volleyball courts, renovating hospital grounds, building union flower gardens... there are also many projects aimed at the community and those in difficulty.
One of the meaningful projects is the bookshelf project for children being treated at the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center. The project was implemented in a short time but received contributions from all staff, workers in the hospital, students and some benefactors. Through that, hundreds of books were donated to build small libraries in the children's rooms. The total value of this project is about 50 million VND.

Due to the unit's characteristics, every month there are dozens of children with congenital hemolytic anemia coming for inpatient treatment, even continuously for many years. Their circumstances are very pitiful, mainly coming from mountainous districts and having little access to books and newspapers. Because of their illness, they are not able to go to school regularly, compared to their peers, their studies face many difficulties and disadvantages. With the desire to share and encourage children being treated at the hospital, for many years now the center has coordinated with students to organize classes to help children achieve their dreams right in the inpatient treatment area, during their treatment at the hospital, they can also read books on the bookshelves placed right in the patient rooms. After half a year of implementation, the effectiveness and meaning are clearly visible, helping children access more knowledge and meaningful stories, so that they can forget their illness and rise up in life.
Talking about the significance of this special project, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center said:
In order to welcome the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels, the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Trade Union and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, since the beginning of February, the Provincial Labor Federation has issued instructions for units to register meaningful projects, products and tasks. Although it has only been implemented for a short time, up to now, hundreds of projects have been registered, implemented and many projects have been completed and put into use.
Typically, in Tuong Duong district, to welcome the District Trade Union Congress, the District Labor Federation coordinated with Huu Khuong Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities to organize the inauguration ceremony and hand over public housing to teachers. This school is located in a particularly difficult commune of Tuong Duong district, with extremely difficult travel conditions. To share with teachers living in remote areas, the District Labor Federation surveyed and asked for the policy of the District Party Committee Standing Committee to mobilize union members, workers and civil servants in the entire district to support the contribution of funds to build public housing for cadres and teachers with a total amount of 241.72 million VND. The completed project with 4 spaciously built rooms is truly a "second home" to help teachers have a stable place to live and work with peace of mind.

Also aiming at people in disadvantaged areas, high schools in Hung Nguyen district have donated to build a new house for the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Thao - a poor household in hamlet 7, Chau Nhan commune. This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the care and concern of Party committees and authorities at all levels for poor households and families in difficult circumstances in society. This activity demonstrates the spirit of "mutual love and support" of the social community, encouraging and helping poor families and families in difficult circumstances to have stable housing, peace of mind to work and produce, and to improve their lives.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation affirmed: The works with signs, products, and tasks to welcome the congress being implemented at the grassroots level have extremely practical significance. Thereby, promptly recognizing, encouraging, and praising the efforts of all levels of trade unions and the creative labor achievements of cadres, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers. At the same time, contributing to spreading good actions towards the community and difficult circumstances in society.
