Former members of Song Lam Nghe An at the new European destination
After leaving Song Lam Nghe An, these players have found new destinations in Europe. They are even clubs playing in the top leagues of countries with developed football.
That is striker Jordy Soladio. After parting waysNghe An football team, this striker born in 1998 returned to his hometown to play for FCV Dender EH. Here, Jordy Soladio contributed to helping FCV Dender EH get promoted to play in the Jupiler Pro League (the highest tournament in Belgium).
This season, the former striker of Song Lam Nghe An had a dream start when he scored against KAA Gent to help FCV Dender EH fly high in the early stages of the season.
However, a decline in form and a series of injuries have made Jordy Soladio's appearances increasingly rare. This is also the reason why the Belgian striker had to leave FCV Dender EH to move to Maccabi Petah Tikva in the winter transfer window, with a fee of 400,000 euros.
However, Soladio still failed to show much for the Israeli team. This contributed to Maccabi Petah Tikva being relegated after the season ended. Thus, this season, the Belgian striker has played 23 matches and scored only 1 goal.
Similar to Jordy Soladio, center-back Mario Zebic also had a turbulent season. After spending the early part of the season playing for Maziya S&RC (Maldives), the Croatian player moved to Hebar Pazardzhik in the winter transfer window. This is a team that plays in the Bulgarian National Championship.
At Hebar, Zebic quickly integrated and secured a starting position in the squad. The former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder made a total of 15 appearances and contributed 2 assists – quite an impressive number for a midfielder.
However, Zebic's efforts were not enough to save Hebar Pazardzhik's dismal season. The team only gained 21 points after the season ended, thereby finishing at the bottom of the rankings and officially being relegated.
In contrast to the two names mentioned above, Vytas Gašpuitis is in impressive form in the Lithuanian National Championship. The central defender born in 1994 has played 14 matches and scored 1 goal since the beginning of the season.
Gašpuitis’ solid defensive performances have been instrumental in helping FA Šiauliai climb to fourth place in the standings after 13 games – a significant improvement from last season, when they finished seventh overall. This is clearly a very positive start for both Gašpuitis and FA Šiauliai this season.
Hopefully, in the near future, the old people ofLam River Nghe Anwill play better to help their home teams achieve the desired results.
In the past, Jordy Soladio played 14 matches for Song Lam Nghe An in the 2023 season, scoring 5 goals and having 2 assists. Also in that season, Vytas Gašpuitis played 16 matches and scored 1 goal. Meanwhile, Mario Zebic played 25 matches with the Nghe team in the 2023/2024 season.
