Linh Dan

Linh Dan is one of the famous Vietnamese-origin actresses in the world art film industry. Leaving Saigon with her family to France in 1975, she attracted attention when she participated in the film Indochina (1992) by French director - Régis Wargnier.
This work won the Oscar for "Best Foreign Language Film". And her role as the adopted daughter of a female rubber plantation owner in Saigon during the French colonial period brought Linh Dan a nomination for "Promising Actress" from the French Academy.
In 2005, Linh Dan returned to cinema after 10 years of working in the economic field on the advice of her family. In the film Mr. Nobody (2009), Linh Dan played one of three female leads - the wife of a man over 100 years old, Nemo Nobody. She acted alongside two stars Jared Leto and Diane Krudger. Thuy Trang was born in 1973 in Saigon and moved to the US with her family when she was three years old. She studied civil engineering but after graduating from university, she became passionate about acting.
In 1993, Thuy Trang was cast in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series. In the series, she played the yellow superhero Trini Kwan, who had a bright smile and was good at martial arts. Thuy Trang learned martial arts since ninth grade. After two years of participating in nearly 90 episodes of the series that became a hit in North America in the early 1990s, Thuy Trang and two other actors left the crew due to disagreements about salary.
She continued to participate in film projects including Spy Hard and The Crow: City of Angels in the late 1990s. In 2001, on a fateful bus trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, Thuy Trang passed away in a tragic accident.

In early 1990, Le Thi Hiep was a physics student at the University of California, USA. By chance, she went with her friends to audition for Oliver Stone's Heaven & Earth, and she beat out over 1,000 candidates to become the lead actress in the famous film about the Vietnam War.
In the film, Hiep plays a Vietnamese woman from 13 to 38 years old who goes through a series of ups and downs and misfortunes. Director Oliver Stone was so impressed with Le Thi Hiep that he did not require her to take acting lessons and just let her act naturally. Hiep's performance in the film, along with that of other American and Asian stars, was highly appreciated by the North American press after the film was released.
Los Angeles Times critic Kenneth Turan commented: "This is a talented amateur actor." After Heaven & Earth, Le Thi Hiep acted in many more films but none of them became famous. In addition to acting, the actress born in 1969 also owns a restaurant in Venice, Italy.
