On the afternoon of the 30th of Tet (Lunar New Year's Eve), when every household had begun preparing their New Year's Eve feast, the sanitation workers were busiest. The workload was unusually heavy, time was tight, and people hurriedly shopped and returned to their warm homes, their laughter filling the air with the scent of incense around their New Year's Eve feast. Meanwhile, these diligent workers, like busy bees, continued their tireless efforts, diligently and urgently loading bags of garbage onto their specialized vehicles. "Keeping the streets clean and beautiful during Tet is our joy, sir..." These people celebrating Tet late told me as I took pictures of them in front of Hieu Market on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet.
