On the eve of the Lunar New Year 2022, right now, Nghe An Field Hospital No. 8 has 38 doctors, nurses, technicians, medical staff and 200 COVID-19 patients waiting together for the New Year... These 38 medical staff and employees started taking on Tet shifts from January 20, 2022 and they will work continuously for 2 months. With a love for the profession and the sick, they all volunteered to perform the task of treating COVID-19 patients.
New yearAfter returning, doctors and nurses were still "always busy", busy taking care of patients. One person for each job, the team working in the inner area examined, treated, and supported patients. The team outside the green zone monitored the camera, called to advise and encourage patients. The focus of monitoring by doctors and nurses were patients showing signs of worsening, patients with excessive anxiety, and 13 pregnant women with COVID-19.

Nurse Hoang Thuy Nguyen shared her feelings about Tet in Field Hospital No. 8: "In the past, medical staff and workers who were on duty during Tet would return home after 1-2 days. This Tet is really special because it lasts for a long time in the hospital... Although we had determined our mentality beforehand, not being able to return home to quickly light incense sticks on the ancestral altar, have a family reunion meal, and give lucky money to children makes everyone feel more or less sad. But we can only be sad a little bit because only when we are optimistic and happy can we encourage and inspire patients to have the health and spirit to fight the epidemic."
According to Ms. Nguyen: "In fact, in the field hospital, even if you want to be sad, you can't be sad for long. The medical staff here have to work continuously. Many patients need the care and advice of doctors and nurses. During this Tet holiday, doctors and nurses often encourage and advise each other to "be more diligent in calling and talking to patients. More than ever, patients at this time of Tet are often lost, weak, and pessimistic"...

At Nghe An Field Hospital No. 8 this Tet holiday, the medical staff and patients are not alone. They receive a lot of love and appreciation from all levels, sectors, relatives and colleagues. It is known that to make the meal full of flavor, colleagues at Nghe An General Hospital wrapped more than 200 banh chung and 50 pork rolls to send to the staff, civil servants, workers and patients to "celebrate Tet" at the field hospital.
Before the moment of transition from the old year to the new year, when work is over, nurse Hoang Thuy Nguyen takes the opportunity to call her two children. She hopes that her two children will be good, listen to their grandparents and father, and promises them "when work is done, I will come back"... Celebrating Tet in the hospital, Ms. Nguyen and the medical staff here all hope: Everyone has a happy Tet, always practice 5K well to protect themselves and the community; practice Tet well according to the new rhythm of life, abandon the habits of gathering in large numbers that are no longer suitable.

Farewell to the old year, welcome to the new yearSpringOn the 468km long land border, there are places with fog and cold rain. On slippery, winding trails and steep passes with many dangers, the Border Guard officers and soldiers still march quietly to keep peace for the rear.
Tet has come, but the Border Guard officers and soldiers have not neglected their duties of protecting sovereignty, preventing all kinds of crimes and the risk of COVID-19 infiltration. Because in these sensitive moments, criminals can take advantage to infiltrate and threaten peace - Captain Phan The Chuan, Captain of the Drug and Crime Prevention Team, Head of Border Protection Management and Covid-19 Prevention Post No. 6 (Border Guard Station of Nam Can International Border Gate) shared.
Captain Phan The Chuan said: Checkpoint 6 manages 02 national border markers (407 and 408) with a length of nearly 7.5km. In 2021, 12 cases/28 subjects were detected and handled for illegal entry and exit; administrative violations were fined 105 million VND... Entering this new year, Checkpoint 6 brothers in particular and Border Guard officers and soldiers in general are determined to try to perform their duties well. They are all very aware: Only when the border wall is strong can the interior have a peaceful and happy Tet!
The flashlights on the heads of the Border Guard officers and soldiers draw straight, curved, and flickering lines of light in the middle of the night forest. They are "staying awake so that the people can sleep peacefully". Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Van Que - Political Commissar of the Border Guard Station of Nam Can International Border Gate confided: "The officers and soldiers have a hard time, but they also receive a lot of attention, encouragement, and support, both material and spiritual, from the Provincial Border Guard Command, local Party committees and authorities at all levels, agencies, departments, branches, organizations, and individuals. Therefore, the officers and soldiers are always steadfast and steady with their guns to perform their assigned tasks well".
