(Baonghean.vn) - In the first week of the new year 2018, a number of positions were appointed and received decisions on work at ministries, branches and localities.

The Prime Minister appointed Mr. Doan Thai Son - Director of the Legal Department, State Bank of Vietnam to hold the position of Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
2. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has a new Vice President and General Secretary.

On the morning of January 6, at the closing session of the 8th Conference (VIII Term) of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Northwest Steering Committee, was elected by the consultative conference to be an additional member of the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee and to hold the position of Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, VIII Term, 2014-2019.
3. Mr. Son Minh Thang holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies.

On the afternoon of January 2, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's Decision assigning Mr. Son Minh Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Southwestern Steering Committee to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies for the 2015-2020 term.
4. Mr. Chu Quang Hao took office as the new General Director of Vietnam Post.

On January 2, 2018, Vietnam Post Corporation held a ceremony to award the decision to appoint Mr. Chu Quang Hao, Member of the Board of Members, to hold the position of General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation.

On the morning of January 3, at the headquarters of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the decision to the new Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) Tran Sy Thanh, former Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
At the ceremony, the leader of the Party Secretary of the Central Enterprises Bloc also presented the Decision appointing the Party Secretary of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group to Mr. Tran Sy Thanh.

On the morning of January 5, Head of the Central Organization Committee Pham Minh Chinh presented Decision No. 643-QD/TU dated December 22, 2017 of the Politburo assigning Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
