(Baonghean.vn) – When we think of summer in Central Vietnam, we always imagine a region with endless, scorching heat, cracked fields, ponds, and lakes, along with dry, burning southwest monsoon winds (Lao winds)… However, in the western part of Nghe An province, there are still places that are remarkably cool. Summer seems absent in the villages and hamlets perched precariously on the mountain peaks of the majestic Truong Son mountain range.
Thanks to the difference in altitude compared to other areas, some communes in western Nghe An such as Tay Son, Nam Can, Huoi Tu, Muong Long, Dooc May, Na Ngoi, Nam Can… (Ky Son); Tri Le, Nam Nhoong, Nam Giai (Que Phong)… still have cool air in the summer. These places also have many majestic landscapes. This is an ideal place for those who want to visit and admire the scenery from the majestic Truong Son mountain range, as well as "escape" the hot, dry Lao winds of summer in the lower areas of Central Vietnam.

| High up in the Truong Son mountain range, on summer mornings, mist swirls around the villages, then gradually dissipates in the sunlight. |

| Even when it's sunny, the climate in these places remains cool, and people still go to the fields or the market in their normal clothes. |

| Visiting these places on the 14th, 15th, 29th, and 30th of each month, tourists can also attend the Mong ethnic minority's markets with tens of thousands of mountain and forest specialties along with unique cultural features found nowhere else. |

| Even luckier tourists can witness the bullfighting matches of the Hmong people, admiring the majestic Hmong bulls with their strikingly beautiful horns. |

| The Muong Long Sky Gate (Muong Long – Ky Son) is considered the most beautiful place in western Nghe An. Standing here, visitors can see far into the distance the villages nestled on the mountain slopes, or the white blanket of plum blossoms in the villages during winter. |

| Visiting Tri Le commune (Que Phong district), in addition to enjoying the cool air, tourists can immerse themselves in the vast fields of lush green passion fruit vines winding along the mountain slopes, creating a truly beautiful sight. |

| Elderly people with limited Vietnamese language skills, dressed in traditional clothing, are also one of the attractive cultural features for tourists visiting these regions. |
